About This Tour

This tour promises an unforgettable experience, offering a perfect blend of thrill, cultural immersion, and relaxation in the majestic Sahara. If you're looking to disconnect from the fast-paced world and immerse yourself in nature, this tour is for you.

Your Marrakech Desert Tour to Erg Chegaga begins in Marrakesh, where you’ll leave the city behind and venture into the desert, passing through picturesque Berber villages and scenic landscapes along the way. As you travel through the High Atlas Mountains and across the Draa Valley, you’ll get a glimpse of Morocco’s diverse terrain, from rugged mountains to lush oases. The drive is scenic and rich with opportunities to stop and explore small villages and local markets, where you can experience authentic Moroccan culture.

Arriving in the Erg Chegaga Dunes, you’ll be greeted by some of the most stunning and untouched desert scenery Morocco has to offer. Unlike the more frequented Erg Chebbi, the Erg Chegaga dunes are remote and vast, offering a true sense of solitude and tranquility. Here, you’ll embark on a camel trek, riding across the soft, golden dunes as the sun sets, painting the sky with vibrant hues. This experience is truly magical and offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fully immerse yourself in the serenity of the Sahara.

In the evening, you’ll settle into your traditional Berber tent in the desert camp, where you can enjoy an authentic Moroccan meal under the stars. The stillness of the desert at night is mesmerizing, and the clear skies provide the perfect setting for stargazing. The Erg Chegaga dunes are far from any city lights, making it one of the best places for stargazing in Morocco.

Throughout the tour, a knowledgeable local guide will lead you through the desert, sharing insights into the Berber culture, the history of the region, and the unique ecosystem of the Sahara. You’ll also have the chance to visit ancient kasbahs, explore hidden oases, and discover the natural beauty of the Iriqui National Park.

The 4-day Desert Tour from Marrakesh to the Erg Chegaga dunes is an adventure of a lifetime, combining the thrill of camel trekking with the peacefulness of the desert.
