Your private driver will meet you at the Airport and take you to your hotel. Check in to your Hotel and free afternoon to spend at your leisure. It's possible to book an orientation walk with one of our guides.
2: Explore Marrakech
Embark on a half day guided city tour of Marrakech with a licensed guide and visit the Saadian Tombs, Medrasa Ben Youssef, tour the grounds of the Bahia Palace, marvel at the intricate decoration, and experience the sights and sounds of the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square and its souks. You will have free afternoon to spend at your leisure. Check optional activities below.
3: Marrakech - Dades Valley
Your driver will pick you up at 08:30 am from your hotel or the closest accessible point for the car, and head south east to the Dades Gorges across the Tizi-n-Tichka pass of the high Atlas Mountains. Several stops for coffee, toilets and to appreciate the panoramic views and to take pictures.
Lunch in the medieval Aït Benhaddou, after Lunch wander the near-empty alleys and passageways with a local guide. Climb up to the old Granary—an excellent vantage point to see the kasbah and surrounding area. Afterwards we will continue our 3 Day Desert tour from Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga we further east, traveling through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, many in disrepair as they're constructed of rammed earth. Pass Skoura and Valley of roses before you arrive to the beautiful and owe-inspiring Dades valley and your home for tonight.
4: Dades Gorge - Merzouga
After breakfast we continue our 3 Day Desert tour from Marrakech to Fes via Merzouga and drive deeper of Dades Valley to visit the Gorge and to admire the beautiful landscapes before driving to Todra Gorge. Arrive to Todra gorges with its immense cliffs, 984 feet (300 m) high and carved by the Todra River through red limestone, here you can enjoy a leisurely walk in and around the gorge and relax in the cool waters of the shallow river below. After lunch we will continue to Erfoud, famous for its fossil finds worked into beautiful artifacts, in which you can feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet and its immense arid plateaus.
The Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi dunes is our final destination for today. A small off-road takes you to the edge of the golden dunes where camels are waiting for you, the luggage will be loaded in an 4x4 car and transported to the camp, and you can enjoy a beautiful camel ride over the sand dunes and watch a majestic desert sunset on your way to the camp.
5: Merzouga - Fez
Wake early to appreciate a desert sunrise and further explore the Sahara: rent a sand board or a quad ATV tour. Continue your 3 Day Desert tour from Marrakech to Fes and head north along the Ziz Valley, remarkable for the extent of its palm trees and the volume of dates produced each year. Notice the many ksars, fortified houses merchants built to protect their wares. Stopping for a panoramic view of the oasis of Aoufous in the Tafilalte region and stop in Midelt (the 'apple city') for lunch.
After lunch continue to the medieval Fes via the Cedar forest near Azrou and the mountain of the middle Atlas with the possibility to see the Barbary apes (monkeys), you may wish to have a stop in Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco), to use the bathroom or enjoy a coffee. 6: Fez Guided Tour
Spend the day visiting the city of Fes, where the old medina offers a step back in time. A well preserved medieval city of donkey-wide alley ways and souks, the medina is encircled by an unbroken line of ramparts and gates. Visit La Mederssa Attarine, Nejjarine fountain, and the mosques of El Karaouyine, Medersa Bou Inania, and Baba Jloud.
