Welcome to Marrakech! Meet your driver at the airport and drive to your hotel, where you will be welcomed with a fresh Moroccan mint tea. Orient yourself in a bustling, vibrant old Medina with narrow alleyways, riades, and markets. A cacophony of sights, sounds, and smells—spices and sweet pastries.
2: Marrakech Guided Tour
Embark on a half-day guided city tour of Marrakech with a licensed guide and visit the Dar el Bacha, Medrasa Ben Youssef, tour the grounds of the Bahia Palace, marvel at the intricate decoration, and experience the sights and sounds of the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square. You will have a free afternoon to spend at your leisure.
3: Marrakech to Bouguemez via Ouzoud Waterfalls
Your journey takes you from the vibrant city of Marrakech to the serene beauty of the Bouguemez Valley, often called the "Happy Valley." Along the way, you'll visit the stunning Ouzoud Waterfalls, one of the most picturesque spots in Morocco. As you take in the spectacular 110-meter cascades, you may spot playful Barbary macaques and enjoy a peaceful stroll through olive groves surrounding the falls. Following a leisurely stop at this natural wonder, the trip continues along picturesque mountain roads into the High Atlas region, where you will be encircled by stunning scenery and traditional Berber villages. Boasting verdant terraces, snow-capped peaks, and hospitable locals, Bouguemez is a serene and charming destination. Enjoy the evening exploring the valley or simply unwind as you prepare for the next adventure.
4: Bouguemez - Tizi n'ait Hamd 3007m - Dades Valley
After breakfast we will travel south, taking the route through Tizi N'Ait Imi and Ait Ahmed, which passes through a narrow valley with the steeply rising M'Goun massif. At the Tizi-n Ait Ahmed mountain passes, you will experience Morocco from a commanding height. At over 2,900 meters, the passes traverse the mountain range, offering breathtaking landscapes to anyone who walks them. In the heart of the Atlas Mountains, between the two provinces of Tinghir and Azilal, lie lush, fertile regions, including the Valley of Roses, which truly lives up to its name. Picturesque valleys, stunning panoramas, and small, charming villages dot the landscape. You will encounter countless natural beauties, and we take the time to fully appreciate them in all their splendor. Arrival in Boumalne Dades in the late afternoon
5: Free Day in Dades Valley
Today is a free day to explore the stunning Dades Valley at your own pace. You can embark on a hike through the famous Monkey Fingers Canyon, a striking rock formation known for its unique shapes and natural beauty. You will be surrounded by amazing views of the untamed terrain as you travel through the picturesque trails.
A visit to a local Berber family can provide you with a more profound cultural experience as you can become acquainted with their customs, partake in tea, and experience their gracious hospitality. This day offers a perfect blend of adventure and cultural immersion in one of Morocco’s most beautiful regions.
6: Dades Valley to Merzouga
After a delicious breakfast, we will continue our adventure Our first stop of the day will be at the Dades Gorge, where we will have the opportunity to admire the stunning landscapes and deep gorges before continuing our journey to Todra Gorge.
As we get to Todra Gorge, the Todra River chiseled away at the red limestone to create the imposing cliffs that soar to a height of 984 feet (300 meters). You'll have the chance to take a leisurely walk around the gorge and relax in the cool waters of the shallow river below.
We will travel to Erfoud, a town well-known for its fossil finds that have been turned into exquisite artwork, after lunch. This town is the starting point of the vast arid plateaus that make up Tafilalet, an oasis in the Sahara. Our final destination for the day will be the Sahara Desert of Erg Chebbi Dunes.
We will travel a short off-road route to the edge of the golden dunes, where we will see camels and enjoy a luxurious camp experience complete with photo stops as the sun sets over the dunes.
7: Merzouga to Draa Valley
Leave the vast dunes of Merzouga behind and journey towards the scenic Draa Valley. The route takes you through Alnif, a small town known for its fossils, and Nkob, a charming village dotted with traditional kasbahs. As you travel through these desert landscapes, you'll experience the stark beauty of southern Morocco.
Beautiful palm groves and historic mudbrick villages await you as you arrive in the lush Draa Valley, one of the nation's longest river valleys. The journey concludes in Agdez, where you'll spend the night. Nestled between the Atlas Mountains and the desert, Agdez offers a peaceful atmosphere and the chance to explore its kasbahs and oases. Unwind and enjoy the serene surroundings as you prepare for the next leg of your adventure.
8: Agdez to Taroudant via Taznakht
Depart from Agdez and make your way towards the charming city of Taroudant, passing through the vibrant town of Taznakht, famous for its traditional Berber carpets and crafts. As you journey through the desert and semi-arid landscapes, you'll see colorful local markets and enjoy the changing scenery.
In Taznakht, you can take a short break to explore its rich handicraft traditions, where the intricately woven carpets reflect the unique heritage of the region. From there, the route continues towards Taroudant, often called "Little Marrakech" for its stunning red city walls and lively souks. Upon arrival, you'll have time to explore the town, known for its historic medina and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy a quiet evening in this beautiful city, tucked between the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas mountains.
9: Taroudant to Essoauira via Agadir
Leave the historic charm of Taroudant and head towards the coastal city of Essaouira. The route takes you through Agadir, a modern seaside city known for its beautiful beaches and vibrant promenade. You can stop here to stretch your legs and perhaps enjoy a stroll along the coast.
Continuing along the Atlantic shoreline, you'll pass through the surf town of Taghazout, renowned for its relaxed vibe and stunning beaches. It's a great spot for a short break to watch the surfers ride the waves or enjoy a quick coffee by the sea.
As you approach Essaouira, you'll notice the landscape transforming into rolling dunes and windswept beaches. Known for its laid-back atmosphere, fortified medina, and rich history, Essaouira offers a blend of culture, history, and coastal beauty. Upon arrival, you’ll have time to explore its narrow streets, bustling port, and vibrant arts scene, making this the perfect end to a day filled with scenic coastal views.
10: Essaouira
Today, you have a full day to enjoy the charming coastal town of Essaouira at your leisure. Wander through the historic Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where narrow streets are lined with whitewashed buildings, vibrant blue doors, and local artisan shops. You can visit the bustling harbor, watch fishermen bring in their catch, or explore the ramparts with their panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.
11: Departure
